I believe in the Devil

[Watch this video & then read]
"We think we will hear her voice and notice her deception."
"For we are not too dull to miss horns & a tail but we call gluttony a luxury and greedy consumerism a sale."
Matt 7:15“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.

“Do not let Satan's sexiest trick make you believe that God's will is our bliss”
Romans 8:16-17  The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.

This statement is conditional; we can claim our son-ship provided we suffer. We must suffer. Our Americanized consumerism makes us believe that our happiness is what God wants for us, but we aren’t promised that in the scriptures. In fact, it’s just the opposite. Peter’s language assumes that suffering is part of being a Christ follower, he doesn’t speak as though it’s left only to followers who travel to foreign countries, it is everyone.

1 Peter 2:20-21 For what credit is it if, when you sin and are beaten for it, you endure? But if when you do good and suffer for it you endure, this is a gracious thing in the sight of God. For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.
1 Peter 5:10 – And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

We must take off the rose tinted glasses that we are wearing to see what we are really called to be.
Suffering servants.
